Part-Time Administrative Assistant

Union Grove Congregational United Church of Christ is seeking a dependable and organized Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our church office and help foster clear communication within our congregation and community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys serving others, works well independently, and is comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, emails, and general office inquiries

  • Prepare weekly bulletins, announcements, and correspondence

  • Maintain church calendars and scheduling

  • Assist with record keeping and data entry

  • Coordinate office supplies and basic administrative needs

  • Support church staff and ministry leaders with clerical tasks

  • Help maintain a welcoming office environment for members and visitors

  • Maintain and update church website and social media

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Constant Contact

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

  • Friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented

  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred

  • Comfort working in a church environment and supporting the mission of the church

Position Details

  • Part-time: 10-12 hours per week across 3 days

  • Compensation: Based upon experience and qualifications
